Heros Camp
We all had so much fun learning about God!!! The mornings were early... it was a little crazy getting 6 kids up, dressed, fed and out the door by 8 (that was a lot of hair for one stylist). I taught Rhett's grade this year. So thankful he still thinks I am cool enough to do that. I am sure my time is ticking away fast!!! We got to go to the Capital area food bank and pack family boxes. The kids loaded 3000 pounds of food. I was so proud of how they worked together and never complained. The director told us that the food would be on peoples tables within 4 days. Reef's class went to the library and a miniature pony farm. Rox.... well I am sure her teacher held that little piece of sugar the whole day. I laughed everyday when I picked her up because she smelled like her teacher. I am sure I learned way more than I taught... God is funny like that!!!

13 Years
Sunday May 23 was our 13th wedding anniversary! Time has went fast...I can still remember standing on the balcony in Jamaica watching Scott walk to the garden where we were going to start our lifetime journey together. We (in we.. I am saying all 5 of us...so kids you owe Dad and I a trip one day alone when you have your own money) spent the weekend at the Hyatt San Antonio Hill Country Resort. The place was peaceful and beautiful...lazy river to float all your worries away, beach to sink your toes in, and soft pillows to have sweet dreams on. The kids loved all the pools, playgrounds, smores, movie on the lawn.
After a long packed day of fun and laughter everyone got snug in their assigned beds. As I closed my eyes Scott and Roxli began to snore in some crazy rhythmic way that my ears had never heard. Rhett and Reef were not as amused with the bedtime "music" as I was. I just had to laugh inside thinking this is our anniversary trip.... not at all what I would have been thinking that day on the balcony as our future!!! How naive was I at 22?? The next morning looking around the room at sleepy bodies I was thankful for what our marriage had created in 13 short years. More than 3 kids...understanding,compromise,trust,friendship,forgiveness,team work. Cant wait to see what comes in the next 13!! (Note to Doss kids: this trip was fun but your not going to be invited on the 14th anniversary trip...babysitter city...I better start looking now!!!)

Mother's Day 2010...Where did you go this year??
I awoke Mother's Day morning to 4 smiling faces (all within 8 inches of my face... a mothers first thought is "who's sick and where did you throw up". Gladly no one was sick and everyone came bearing gifts.) Rhett made me a bookmark and case. Now that I am a full fledged reader this will come in handy. Reef wrote a story about me and all my fav things. Super cute. Rox and Daddy were holding an orchid plant. It is real and I hope I can keep it alive... I don't pride myself on having a green thumb but I will give it a whirl. The smell from them are heavenly!! After the gifts were unwrapped and kisses doled out to all off to get dressed for our Sea World trip. I love that the kids ( OK really.. let me give credit where credit is due... Scott) take me somewhere on Mother's day. I was not sure how they were going to do better than last years trip to the snake farm...because you all know that is where every mom wants to spend the ONLY day of the year you really get to pass off all your chores to hubby. Really I LOVED the snake farm. I guess I still have a little country in me or is that white trash? Oh well either way it was good. Sea world gave snake farm a run for it's money. The shows were so amazing and feeding the dolphins was a highlight. Rox's face was priceless. I am sure her 2 year old brain had to be in over load thinking " I got in my car seat and a snack later I am seeing whales fly through the air and big fish eating out of my hands...what is this place?" Rhett and Reef were giggling and smiling at everything. Rhett loved the junk food... ice cream, popcorn, turkey legs...He lives for that junk. I enjoyed it myself... it just cracks me up seeing him chow down being that I feed him "yucky food" and all. ( read past blog about Rhett and his food issues) We were gone from 8:30 am till 6:45 pm. Long fun filled day. I can't imagine a world without my 3 blessings. They are more than I could have ever dreamed of (and I can dream up some pretty BIG things)....I am one lucky Mommy!!!
