Mother's Day 2010...Where did you go this year??

I awoke Mother's Day morning to 4 smiling faces (all within 8 inches of my face... a mothers first thought is "who's sick and where did you throw up". Gladly no one was sick and everyone came bearing gifts.) Rhett made me a bookmark and case. Now that I am a full fledged reader this will come in handy. Reef wrote a story about me and all my fav things. Super cute. Rox and Daddy were holding an orchid plant. It is real and I hope I can keep it alive... I don't pride myself on having a green thumb but I will give it a whirl. The smell from them are heavenly!! After the gifts were unwrapped and kisses doled out to all off to get dressed for our Sea World trip. I love that the kids ( OK really.. let me give credit where credit is due... Scott) take me somewhere on Mother's day. I was not sure how they were going to do better than last years trip to the snake farm...because you all know that is where every mom wants to spend the ONLY day of the year you really get to pass off all your chores to hubby. Really I LOVED the snake farm. I guess I still have a little country in me or is that white trash? Oh well either way it was good. Sea world gave snake farm a run for it's money. The shows were so amazing and feeding the dolphins was a highlight. Rox's face was priceless. I am sure her 2 year old brain had to be in over load thinking " I got in my car seat and a snack later I am seeing whales fly through the air and big fish eating out of my hands...what is this place?" Rhett and Reef were giggling and smiling at everything. Rhett loved the junk food... ice cream, popcorn, turkey legs...He lives for that junk. I enjoyed it myself... it just cracks me up seeing him chow down being that I feed him "yucky food" and all. ( read past blog about Rhett and his food issues) We were gone from 8:30 am till 6:45 pm. Long fun filled day. I can't imagine a world without my 3 blessings. They are more than I could have ever dreamed of (and I can dream up some pretty BIG things)....I am one lucky Mommy!!!

  1. We really love reading all the stories about the kids. It's so refreshing to see a family filled with so much love. While we all agree how lucky we are to have all three of your kids, they in turn are also extemely fortunate to have such wonderful parents as you and Scott.
We love you all bunches & bunches!
